对于意象 $\mathcal X$, 常值层函子是几何态射 $$ \pi\colon \mathcal X \to\mathsf{Ani} = \operatorname{Sh}(*) $$ 的左伴随部分 (拉回部分) $$ \pi^*\colon \mathsf{Ani} \to\mathcal X. $$
